Try Rugby League With Moldgreen ARLFC
Established almost forty years ago Moldgreen Rugby League Club is one of the longest running amateur sports outfits in the area. After spawning over 50 players into the professional and indeed some into international ranks, with more destined to follow, the club prides itself on a great foundation of commitment, determination and fair play.

And right now there has never been a better time to try out this fantastic sport for yourself.

We have a wide range of age groups who all train and play their home games on the pitches outside our base, the DRAM Centre at Ridgeway, Dalton. From the very earliest age we encourage even the infants to take part with our Tots Class for children aged 2 – 5 years old. The next stage is for ‘Emerging’ 8’s, for all 6, 7 and 8 year olds, with the emphasis still very much about having fun but with an introduction to the basic fundamentals of the game. After this the children’s age group range from under 9’s right through each year until under 15’s.
Our training sessions are fully involving, run by qualified RFL Level 1 and Level 2 coaches all of whom are CRB checked, and open to all abilities without exception.
Each boy or girl is guaranteed a warm welcome and will soon be made to feel a real part of the group they train with. For those wanting to play in matches the option is there too. Our season spans the summer months from March until September, with a break through the summer school holiday. The competitive games up to age 11 are classed as friendlies and are a great opportunity for teams to develop their skills at a young age. From 12 upwards the teams compete in a league and also in Huddersfield and Yorkshire Cup competitions for added excitement.

Rugby League is a game of great team spirit and all about the companionship which team sport brings. It’s certainly one way of making lifelong friends.

With the success of last year’s 12’s and 13’s, who were both crowned Huddersfield Cup Champions, the future of Moldgreen Rugby League club is in good hands…Would you like to be a part of it?
