I started walking in January to try to lose a bit of weight and I walk between 5 and 10 miles on a Saturday morning.
For this fundraiser I aimed to walk 25 miles.
My pace for 10 miles is about 3hours 15minutes, so for 25 miles I expected to be walking for about 9 hours
Initially I hoped to raise £500 but after receiving phenomenal support from so many friends and colleagues I have passed the £600 mark so have moved the target to £700 !!!
The walk was great. Weather was just right and did it in 9 hours including a break.
The money is still rolling in and I am beginning to think we’ll pass £1000.
