Researchers from Exeter University have found that people who volunteer have reduced their risk of dying earlier by over a fifth!
The review of 40 scientific papers found that volunteering ‘is associated with improvements in mental health’ – volunteers are less likely to suffer from depression and have higher levels of satisfaction and wellbeing.
