Sad to report that Sarah Conderson, one of our Community Support Officers, is leaving us. While patrolling the streets of Dalton and Kirkheaton over the last 10 years, Sarah has made many friends in the village and will be missed. She has built up relationships with young and old alike.
Sarah has supported the community in many ways. She has been responsible for the PACT meetings, delivered the SPICE drugs awareness programme to Year 6 pupils at Kirkheaton School and help run various sporting activities for children as well as doing all her other duties including the battle against inappropriate parking outside the school and heavy goods vehicles through the village.
She has been very supportive to Yetton Together and has even taken out one of the group on patrol to see at first hand the work of a PCSO. At the August meeting of The Forum Sarah was thanked for all her hard work and presented with a gift by Vice Chair, Mike Firth on behalf of the group.
She is moving to work as a PCSO in Calderdale where she lives. We wish her well. There are no plans at the moment to replace her.
