Following their success with their WW1 exhibition the Kirkheaton Local History group is now starting to think about 2015 being the 70th anniversary of the ending of hostilities of World War Two. They are hoping to research into a a number of mainly local people who fought in some capacity during the conflict. Some of the names appear on the war memorial – others don’t.

If anyone can help with information about any of the people named below or stories  or photographs about WW2  please get in touch with the group at
familyhistory@yettontogether.org or phone John 01484 304461
The group is also still continuing to research into local soldiers who died in WW1.
